Some Big Things Are Coming...

Over the past year, The Pulp Method has grown into something much bigger than a series of writing books. What started as my personal system for finishing and publishing novels evolved into a shared philosophy among writers who care about the same things I do: Writing consistently, finishing stories, respecting readers, improving through repetition, and building a body of work instead of endlessly chasing perfection. That philosophy has attracted exactly the kind of writers I hoped it would. And it’s a bout to grow into something bigger.

 

The Final Pulp Method Book

 

The tenth and final Pulp Method book is currently in development. The Pulp Method: Short Fiction is built around a central idea; short fiction is one of the fastest, most effective ways to improve as a writer, build confidence, develop discipline, and begin creating a publishing résumé. Short stories teach structure, pacing, and discipline. They also make it much easier for writers to finish what they start and put their work in front of real readers.

 

The book will cover the entire process from beginning to end:

  • Brainstorming ideas

  • Building short fiction outlines

  • Drafting fast and clearly

  • Revising for publication

  • Preparing submissions properly

  • Finding markets

  • Handling rejection

  • Building publishing credits

 

But while writing this book, I kept coming back to the same realization: Writers need markets built around the same storytelling philosophy that The Pulp Method was designed for. Stories with momentum, strong hooks, clear prose, and real entertainment value. So instead of simply teaching writers how to submit elsewhere, I decided to build something myself.

 

Introducing Pulp Revival Press

 

I’m officially launching a new indie publishing imprint. The old pulp magazines were some of the greatest storytelling engines in publishing history. They launched careers, shaped genres, and introduced generations of readers to stories they never forgot. They were fast, bold, entertaining, accessible, and they respected the reader’s time. That spirit is what Pulp Revival Press wants to revive.

 

The goal is simple: Publish fiction that moves fast, entertains hard, and reminds readers why they fell in love with genre fiction in the first place. Horror, crime, romance, adventure, science fiction, fantasy… Stories driven by momentum, emotion, unforgettable hooks, and entertainment first.

 

Pulp Revival Magazine

 

The flagship project under Pulp Revival Press will be a line of genre-focused fiction magazines released in both eBook and print editions.

 

Each title will focus on a different emotional corner of pulp storytelling:

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Dread (Horror / Thriller)

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Swoon (Romance / Drama)

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Noir (Crime / Mystery)

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Velocity (Action / Adventure)

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Strange (Science Fiction / Fantasy)

  • Pulp Revival Magazine: Lurid (Grindhouse / Exploitation)

  • More to follow

 

Writers will be paid a flat fee and receive a print copy of the magazine in which their story appears. Submissions will be open to everyone, but Pulp Revival Press is being built specifically with The Pulp Method community in mind. The magazines will primarily feature writers who embrace the same philosophy that inspired the books themselves. In many ways, this is becoming a shared creative ecosystem for writers who believe storytelling should be clear, compelling, and impossible to put down.

The Revival Starts Soon

 

The Pulp Method: Short Fiction is coming. Pulp Revival Press is coming. The magazines are coming. The website is coming. Submissions will open soon. And for the first time, writers following The Pulp Method won’t just have a system for creating stories. They’ll have a place to publish them.
